Photoshop Tutorial: Ancient Map

I've included some of my photoshop experiments where some of the tips are acquired from some of my online sources and mixed together to create something out of it. Though I started it without any idea of what will be the result, I manage to create a simple yet effective tips and guides on how to create an ancient map using Adobe Photoshop CS2.

1. Create a new document with a black background.

2. Click Filter > Render > Clouds

3. Click Filter > Render > Difference Clouds

4. Image > Adjustments > Level > Input Levels - 0- 3.59-2.55 ( You may adjust them all depending on your preferences)

5. Image > Adjustments > Color Balance > Cyan=0 Magenta=0 Yellow=-75

6. Image > Adjustments > Curves > (play the curves until you get your preferred texture of ancient age)

7.Image > Adjustment > Hue/Saturation > Hue=0 Saturation=+44 Lightness=+19

Note: You may adjust them according to your belief of what the real texture of ancient maps should be. You can have them in dirty brown, faded brown, faded yellow. Explore it.

I kept a photo of a Canon 350D atop of my desk wondering when and how am I going to bought this DSLR, my very first digital SLR camera. Thankfully, my credit card application has been approved that its first credit limit is enough to buy the said camera.

I am so excited that once I have purchased it, it seems I can't hold the fact that I have indeed owned what in the past few months I lusted with days and nights.

I humbly posted photos which I'm proud to say that were among on very first shots I fired using this baby. Behold!!!!!
